From electronic enclosures to creative exhibition structures, I’ve delivered projects for global technology leaders, aviation manufacturers, and independent creators across the UK. Here are some highlights of my work.

Micron Technology – Server Enclosure

Type: Industrial / Electronics

Designed a 19-inch 2U rack mount memory storage enclosure allowing up to ten servers to access high-speed memory.

  • Created a custom front panel featuring a blue industrial “swoosh” with Micron’s backlit logo, integrated handles, USB access, and LED indicators.

  • Unlike standard flat panels with wired handles, this design merged ergonomics, usability, and aesthetics into a single integrated front panel.

  • Delivered a distinctive enclosure that balanced practical engineering with creative design flair.

Aviation Industry – Rugged Displays & Recorders

Type: Aerospace / Defence

Worked with an aviation manufacturer specialising in peripheral products to design rugged equipment for use in helicopters and small aircraft.

  • 21-inch Rugged Video Display – engineered to withstand vibration, shock, and demanding flight conditions.

  • Rugged Solid-State Memory Video Recorder – designed for durability and dependable in-flight data capture, with a reinforced structure for long-term reliability.

STMicroelectronics (Edinburgh) – Tablet Demo Case

Type: Electronics / Prototyping

STMicroelectronics is a semiconductor manufacturer with a development site in Edinburgh, where proximity sensors are one of the key technologies produced.

  • I was commissioned to create a tablet enclosure that would securely house a tablet alongside integrated proximity sensors.

  • Designed for demonstrations at exhibitions and client sites.

  • Provided ST’s sales team with a portable, professional demo unit used internationally to showcase sensor technology.

London Artist Collaboration – Exhibition Frames

Type: Creative / Exhibition

Commissioned by a London-based artist to provide 3D CAD modelling of exhibition display structures.

  • Designed two frame systems to hold aluminium litho plates used in traditional newspaper printing.

    • Horizontal Hanging Frame – CAD modelled and manufactured for wall-mounted exhibition display.

    • Vertical Hanging Frame – designed and produced for an alternative gallery installation.

  • Both structures were successfully showcased at a London exhibition, blending engineering precision with creative presentation.

  • Proximity Sensor Targets – precision components for product testing.
